Birl "Buddy" J. Rives, Jr., passed away on December 2, 2012 in San Antonio, TX. He was born on January 28, 1937 to Birl Rives, Sr. & Martha McWilliams in San Saba, TX. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and later retired after working 30 years at Thermal Supply as a manager. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He was preceded in death by his parents, 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Mr. Rives is survived by his wife of 19 years, Joyce Rives; 4 children, Rodney Rives & wife Karen, Roger Rives, Jack Rives and Michelle Alexander & husband Dwight; 2 step-children, Kevin Green & wife Shannon and Kimberly Green; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. The Memorial Service was held Thursday, December 6th, at Retama Park in Selma, TX.
