Jeanne Greene, of Horseshoe Bay, TX, formerly of Lampasas passed away Friday, December 7, 2012. She was born October 16, 1929 in Turnersville, TX, the daughter of Pearl Francis Weeks Jones and Lem Houston Jones. She was a homemaker with many special talents. She was a member of the Eastern Star, Katy Baptist Church, Grace Fellowship Church of Lampasas. She was a Girl Scout leader, Sunday school teacher and most of all she was a wonderful mother. Jeanne is survived by two daughters, Vickey Best of Cedar Park and Rindi Broussard and Bubba of Cherokee; grandchildren, Skooter “Paul” Best, Amanda and husband Trint Tupin, and Calli Broussard; great-grandchildren, Aubree, Braeden, and Dylan Best; great-step-grandchildren, Cole Tupin and Maggie Tupin; and brother, James C. Jones of Lubbock. She was preceded in death by her husband E.L. Greene, her parents, one brother, and five sisters.Graveside services were held Sunday, December 9, 2012, at 3:00 P.M., at the Oakhill Cemetery in Lampasas, TX, with Rev. Stuart Beckwith officiating. Interment followed at the Oakhill Cemetery.The family requests that memorials be made to the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.Funeral arrangements under the direction of Blaylock Funeral Home, San Saba, Texas.
