The JV boys basketball season got underway this past week. On November 27th our teams traveled to Harper to take on the Longhorns. This was the first game for the young Dillos, and we came up short, losing that game by the score of 30-29. Scoring for the Dillos: John Faught (15), Holt Oliver (7), Yason Aguirre (5) , and Josh Cazares (2).This past weekend the JV Purple team played in the San Saba tournament. The Dillos won their first game vs. Hamilton JV “B” by the score of 59-23. Scoring for the Dillos: Faught (25), Oliver (10), John Welch (5), Logan Guidroz (3), Aguirre (10), Ridge Smith (2), and Cazares (4).The second game of the tournament was against a tough Ingram JV team. The Dillos lost a hard fought game by the score of 28-23. Scoring for the Dillos: Faught (6), Oliver (6), Guidroz (1), Aguirre (7), and Cazares (3). In the consolation game versus Hamilton JV “A”, the Dillos won by the score of 42-22. Scoring for the Dillos: Faught (12), Oliver (5), Welch (9), Guidroz (4), Aguirre (6), and Cazares (6).Next weeks games will include a Tuesday game with Blanco, and the boys will be competing in the Junction tournament next weekend.
