Services for Laura Mae Stuart were held on Tuesday, November 27th, at 1:00p.m. at Comanche Funeral Home, Comanche, TX with Rev. Marvin Donnell and Sam Crosby officiating. Burial followed at 4:00p.m. at Millers-view Cemetery, Millersview, TX.Laura was born January 10, 1920 in Concho County to George Washington and Nova Fraim Woods. She married Godfrey Stuart on April 29, 1939. Godfrey preceded her in death on December 2, 1994. They were long time residents of Richland Springs, TX and later Comanche, TX. Laura, at the time of her death, was a resident of Pecan Valley Nursing & Rehab. She was a homemaker and a member of Eastside Baptist Church, Comanche. She loved spending time in her beautiful flower garden, quilting and sewing. Many of her family members are still enjoying those beautiful quilts. Laura will be remembered for her many kind deeds.Survivors include daughter Patsy Isham & husband Worth, of San Saba, TX; son Ray Stuart & wife Karen of Lubbock, TX; daughter Peggy Stewart & husband Joe of Johnson City, TX; daughter Delinda Sorrells & husband Kinley of Comanche, TX; thirteen grandchildren, twenty-eight great-grandchildren & one great-great-granddaughter.Laura was preceded in death by husband Godfrey, two sisters, three brothers, & parents.Pallbearers were grandsons Don Isham, Stuart Isham, Reagan Stuart, Rod Stuart, Joe Bob Stewart & Gayland Sorrells.
