Whitten and Henslee united in matrimony

Margaret Elizabeth Whitten and Brian David Henslee where married May 17th, 2012 at Villa Ercolano in San Savino, Italy. Ryan Kolasinski performed the ceremony attended by 40 close friends and family.

The bride is the daughter of Robert M. and Martha Leigh Whitten of San Saba, Texas and the granddaughter of Betty Jo Miller and the late Judge Jack Burleson Miller of San Saba. The groom is the son of David and Vicki Henslee of Wichita Falls, Texas.

Presented in marriage by her father, the bride was attended by her sisters, Caroline and Katherine Whitten, and her cousin Hendrika Rhoad. She wore her mother’s wedding dress and veil and her grandmother’s necklace that had been given to her as an anniversary present by the bride’s grandfather. The bride carried a bouquet of white peonies and garden roses.

Jared Pace served as best man along with groomsmen Josh Caltrider and Jack Whitten, brother of the bride. Allyson Ward, sister of the groom, and Leigh-Adella Bransom, cousin of the bride, served as scripture readers.

A solo violinist provided classical accompaniment for the ceremony that was held in the southern garden of the Villa. Guests were then escorted to the rooftop terrace for a sunset cocktail hour before a traditional Italian meal was served in the Lemonaia.

The couple enjoyed a two week honeymoon tour of Northern Italy, Austria, and Switzerland before returning to a reception at the home of the bride’s parents on June 2, 2012.

The couple now resides in San Antonio, Texas.
