Cell Phone Calls
Thursday, November 29, 2012 • Posted November 29, 2012

So many people are making cell phone calls today. It is interesting to observe people talking and trying to drive at the same time unless they almost hit your automobile or almost run over you. It's not just while driving but it is at the malls, grocery stores and who knows where else.

All those people talking reminds me of something in the Bible. We are told to call upon God, and from the very beginning of man upon the earth, he was allowed to call upon God, (Genesis 4:26). Adam and Eve were allowed or able to talk to God directly, or face to face; but after they disobeyed, that changed, (Genesis 3:8-22). God wants to hear from us and He wants us to call upon Him (2 Samuel 22:4, Psalm 18:3).

But there is one thing He wants us realize, who He is and who we are; i.e. have the right attitude toward Him, (Psalm 4:1). He will turn a deaf ear to us if we do not have the right attitude or have wicked intentions, (Psalm 66:18). He wants us to call upon Him for forgiveness of sins, (Luke 5:32). He also wants us to call upon Him for salvation or for Him to save us, (Romans 10:13) and to give us eternal life or life forever with Him, (John 3:15-17). See you in Church next Sunday.
