On the fifth of November, the Cherokee FFA attended the Leadership Development Event district competition in Goldthwaite. Courtney Hull got sixth place in Jr. Creed. The Greenhand Quiz team, consisting of Holly Vaughn, Debra Arredondo, Sophia Monroe, and Tommy Henegar, placed seventh. The Senior Quiz team, consisting of Sidonie Vega, Emily Skaggs, and Barbara Uribe, placed sixth. Lauryn Tatsch placed fifth in Job Interview. The Radio team, consisting of Talli Morrison, Barbara Uribe, and Jordan Mayo, placed eighth. The Public Relations team, consisting of Stephen Austermann, Talli Morrison, Lauryn Tatsch, and Courtney Hull, got second, and will be advancing to area on Monday the twelfth in Blanco. We are very proud of the members who went to this competition, and they should be commended for their dedication to improve their leadership skills. Preparation for these competitions took place for hours in the afternoons, after all other activities had been taken care of, and also in the mornings before school.
