Mr. T.D. Botello has been named Resident of the Month at PVNR for the month of November. Mr. Botello was born in 1920 in Brady, Texas and moved to San Saba in 1935 at the age of 15. Before retiring, he was a day laborer and says he has done a “little bit of everything” in his lifetime which includes raising two daughters and one son. He loved playing baseball when he was younger and said his favorite pastime now is to watch all sports on TV, but his absolute favorite is baseball. Mr. Botello joined the Armed Service in 1942 at the age of 22 years. He served in the Air Corp for three years with two of those years being in the European Theatre. Mr. Botello told me that he is “just thankful to Almighty God for allowing me 92 years on this earth.”
