Chuck Jennings new Golf Pro at San Saba River Golf Course

San Saba is proud to welcome Chuck Jennings as the new City Golf Pro, coming to us from Hutto where he was Head Pro at Forrest Creek Golf Club.Chuck graduated from Manor High School in Portsmith, Virginia and played on the school golf team. After 8 years of Army service, in Ft. Hood and Germany, and where he was on the All Army Golf Team, Chuck attended the University of Mary Hardin Baylor on a golf scholarship, and was on the team with Keith Harris, San Saba's previous Pro.He started his professional career at Mill Creek in Salado, then went to Teravista Golf Club in Round Rock, before Forrest Creek. Chuck has lots of plans for the City Course including Introduction to the Pro, a big weekend planned for March, 2013, but before that, he invites everyone to visit the course any time to meet him.Chuck and his wife Melissa have 4 daughters: Amanda, 25, a medical student at The University of North Texas Medical Branch in Ft. Worth; Becky, 21, Assistant Manager of Bath and Body Works in Temple, who's planning a March wedding; Megan, 15, a sophomore at San Saba High School; and Katie, 13, an 8th grader in Hutto Middle School.Chuck and Megan are here in San Saba, while Melissa and Katie are trying to get the house sold in Hutto!San Saba is very privileged to have Chuck Jennings as the new Golf Pro with his esteemed background and everyone needs to take the time to go out to the golf course to welcome him. If you've never been there, you're missing out on one of the most wonderful assets that makes up our community. Chuck will even give you lessons, because once you've seen the 18 hole course, you're sure to get bit by the golf bug!
