The San Saba Tennis Team defeated Mason 9 to 6 on October 30. The win brings the Armadillo record for the fall to 3 wins and 2 losses. The tennis team will next play Jim Ned at Early on November 13 at 4:00 p.m. The match of the day against Mason was in girls doubles as Joannah Crosby and Joely Haverland took on Jordan and Canfield from Mason. Crosby and Haverland started off slowly falling behind 1 to 4 in the first set. Crosby / Haverland came back to tie the set at 4 all before finally losing the first set 4 to 6. In the second set Crosby/Haverland once again fell behind 1 to 4 , but this time the girls came back to win the second set 7 to 5. In the third set it was all San Saba as they won the third set tie-breaker 10 to 2. This was a good win for the girls as they fought back from behind to take the win. I feel like the whole team is improving and making progress since the beginning of the year.
