Last thursday we traveled to Hico and played the Tigers. Our young men played very well and came out with a 49-0 victory. This is their 5th shut out in a row which is a great accomplishment at any level of football. They improved their record to 6 and 2. Their two losses were by four points in both games. They are undefeated in district play and will host the Goldthwaite Eagles this Thursday for the district championship.Scoring for the Dillos were: Dallas Caldwell on TD runs of 38, 45, and 20 yards and a 2pt. conversion. Ishmael Ramirez on TD runs of 33 and 15 yards. Jesse Franco on a 6 yard TD run. Garrett Welch on a 65 yard run. John Welch on a 2pt. conversion pass from Garrett Welch. Holt Oliver on a 2pt. conversion run. Roberto Coronado on a conversion kick which was our first of the year.Playing well for the Dillos was Joel Franco at linebacker, Daniel Calderon with an interception, Bryon Riggs with a fumble recovery, Caleob Hardman, Wesley Gates at tackle, Emiliano Zapata at guard, Ktistian McCoury at center, John Watson at corner, and John Faught at corner.We play at home Thursday at 6:30.
