The senior year in high school always seems to fly by quickly. Our 2013 seniors will be recognized at the last home football game on November 2nd. Senior students are Carl Bowman, Sophia Bultena, Chance Bush, Thomas Fowler, Ashlyn Grady, Gunner Mann, Brooklyn McGinty, Chris Munoz, Jonathon Patino, Patrick Phillips, Katelynn Teel, Cheyenne Tharp, Trevor Tinney, Corey Turner, Mario Valdez, and Remy Wood. Seniors and parents/guardians will be introduced at halftime of the game. The RS Football Sweetheart and RS Football Beau will also be announced at the last home game against the Blanket Tigers. Both football teams were victorious last week. The junior high beat Mullin 50-0. The varsity Coyotes posted a 76-28 victory over Mullin. Hats off to Offensive Coordinator Shawn Rogers who was recognized for his 100th Coyote victory after the Mullin game.Football action continues this week for both teams. The junior high Coyotes will travel to Blanket on Thursday to play the Blanket junior high. The varsity Coyotes will host Blanket on Friday for the second district game. The Coyotes are now (8-0) for the year and (1-0) in district play. District play continues the week of November 9. Come out and support the cheerleaders and the student athletes at the games; you won’t be disappointed! Check-out the new Coyote spirit items in the Booster Club trailer.The Richland Springs Independent School District has received a ‘Superior Achievement’ rating for the 2011-20120 school year on School FIRST, or Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas.Last Friday was the midpoint of the second six weeks. Please look for three week notices about your student in the mail. Teachers are available for Teacher/Parent conferences. Please schedule a conference with your child’s teacher and visit with teachers about your child’s success in education. Parent involvement is a key to student success.
