Thursday, November 1, 2012 • Posted November 1, 2012

The SSCLWA was formed to provide the necessary matching funds to insure the continued presence of the state sponsored trappers in San Saba County. Due to State and Federal Budget cuts, the association’s required contribution is set to increase in the coming year (2012-2013). This requires an additional $7,200 to be raised, for a total association contribution of $21,600, to maintain the current level of predator control activity. These funds are solely raised through the contributions of landowners, hunters and business owners. In the past four years, more than one thousand coyotes have been taken in San Saba County in addition to the numerous other target predator species. The management of these populations is vital to the health and livestock industry and to the continued abundance of game animals in the county. The SSCWLA encourages everyone who has an interest in wildlife and livestock, and who is concerned about the damages caused by predatory species in our county to support the association through a donation. Donations can be sent to the SSCWLA at: SSCWLAPO Box 681San Saba. TX 76877
