Little Dillos Come Up Short in Overtime 8-0
Thursday, October 25, 2012 • Posted October 25, 2012

After a physical battle in the trenches during regulation, the Little Dillos unfortunately came up short in their bid to score a touchdown in their overtime possession versus the Lampasas Badgers this past weekend. Coach Shahan and Glover were very proud of the effort this week against a very strong and talented badger team. The Little Dillos played most of the day on the badger side of the football field, but simply could not punch it in for a score. Meanwhile, the Little Dillos defense stood up to the size of the badgers and played an excellent football game. One meandering toss sweep was the difference as Lampasas scored on 3rd down and 16 on their first possession of overtime. The Little Dillos should be proud of their effort and will be looking forward to a rematch in the playoffs. Little Dillos playing this week included Johnnie Meador, Bladen Calley, Landin Short, Austin Smith, James Carlisle, Kylar Menchaca, Polo Davila, Brighton Adams, Risien Shahan, Logan Glover, Ryan Mathis, Wesley Lackey, Timothy Krueger, and Christian Van Bibber (Ty Robertson and Ross McCoury were injured and/or under the weather). The Little Dillos cheerleaders led an excellent day of cheering, including a great cheer on the field at halftime. They included: Jaela Nelson, Madison Shahan, Landri Glover, Olivia Lebow, Kailey Brooks, and Jasmine Davila (Jaycie Everett was not available this week). Thanks girls for support this week! This week’s game will be in Lampasas at 11:00a.m. versus Johnson City at the new Lampasas High School fields on Hwy
