TxDOT to rehabilitate bridge on CR 204

The Texas Department of Transportation will begin a bridge rehabilitation project on CR 204 at the San Saba River in late October.The bridge will be closed to traffic beginning Oct. 24 and will remain closed until the project’s completion. Work is expected to take about eight months, and traffic will need to take alternate routes during that time. CR 204 parallels US 190.The project will involve building new piers and approaches to the bridge. The existing structure will then be placed on the new piers.Ellis-McGinnis Construction Co. of Eddy has been contracted to complete the project for $849,000.T
