5th and 6th grade suffer 1st loss of season
Thursday, October 18, 2012 • Posted October 18, 2012

The San Saba 5th and 6th grade team traveled to Johnson City this weekend where they faced a huge Liberty Hill team. The Dillos played against a “select team” that hadn’t lost or been scored on all season. The outcome wouldn’t be any different Saturday either as the dillos lost 33-0. Our boys played their hearts out and gave it all they had, but Liberty Hill’s size and speed where just too much. We don’t believe in moral victories, but Liberty Hill had averaged over 40+ points a game and the 28 point “mercy rule” had been used on every team by halftime, they didn’t score the final td until the 4th quarter. Next week we will be getting back into the win column as we play at 8 in the morning against Llano, in Llano. This is a very important game as we are both 3-1 with our only lose coming to the same team. Come out next Saturday and support the future of San Saba football.
