Little Dillos win soggy game over Jackets 13-0
Thursday, October 18, 2012 • Posted October 18, 2012

A steady running game and five jacket turnovers were the keys to the Little Dillos victory on Saturday versus Llano in Johnson City. The Dillos scoring drives included a 1 yard run by Ryan Mathis in the 1st quarter and a 10 yard run by Mathis in the 3rd quarter behind good blocking from the offensive line including Johnnie Meador, Bladen Riggs, Landin Short, Austin Smith, James Carlisle, Kylar Menchaca, Polo Davila, Brighton Adams, and Ty Robertson. Fumbles were recovered on the day by Logan Glover, Bladen Riggs, and Ryan Mathis. A stingy and active defense including Christian Van Bibber, Risien Shahan, Wesley Lackey, Timothy Krueger, and Logan Glover kept the jackets out of the end zone as rain fell during the game. Krueger also picked off the jackets quarterback and scampered 50 yards toward the end zone before getting tackled by the jackets to wrap up the game. The Little Dillos cheerleaders excited the crowd with great cheering and a wonderful halftime dance this week! Cheerleaders include Jaycie Everett, Jaela Nelson, Madison Shahan, Landri Glover, Olivia Lebow, Kailey Brooks, and Jasmine Davila. Thanks girls for the awesome effort in the rain! This week’s game will be in Llano at 9:30 a.m. at Jacket Stadium off of Hwy 71.
