Richland Springs ISD participated in the Cindy Hayes Memorial Food Drive. The 4 H Club helped sponsor the food drive on campus. Brooklyn McGinty, 4-H president, represented the 4-H Club when the canned goods were delivered to the Courthouse. The Freshman Class won the class contest with 64 food items and the class traveled to San Saba to enjoy the sausage wraps. The food drive collected 242 food items all together. Thank you for your donations. 4H sponsor Valerie Gossett hosted a 4H meeting last Thursday. The 4-H students are good stewards of our campus. Any student interested in becoming a 4 H member is welcome to attend.The Richland Springs Independent School District has received a superior achievement rating for the 2011-2012 school year on School FIRST, or Financial Integrity Rating System of Texas.Coyote varsity football rolled on to 7-0 for the season with a 92-44 victory over the Gordon Longhorns. It was a picture perfect night for football. The varsity Coyotes are idle this week.The junior high team hosts Lohn this Thursday at 6:00. Come out and watch this exciting group of student athletes compete. You won’t be disappointed.Friday, October 19th is an early release for students. Parent conferences are scheduled for the afternoon. Busses run at 1:00 p.m.It’s great to see our community supporting students in their efforts to achieve. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It takes everyone working together to achieve success. Thanks for all you do!Community involvement is the key to success!
