Good farmers know that one cannot keep harvesting crops from a tract without putting something back into it. To restore nitrogen, phosphate and potash - as essential for growing crops as earth, sun and rain - those chemicals must be reintroduced into the soil. Otherwise, land will produce less and less yield until it is depleted of its fertility. Some people don't realize that the same principal applies to life. One cannot keep taking from God's store house without giving something back. Galatians 6:7 - "Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. A man reaps what he sows." Perhaps you've been on the receiving end of God's goodness too long without putting something back into the pot. If you feel empty and alone, maybe you need to reach out to someone in need and share some of your God-given abundance. Sow a kindness, reap a blessing.Teach us to give, Lord; not 'til it hurts, but 'til it helps.
