Tom Dahl recently earned national accreditation as a Certified Floodplain Manager. The certification, awarded by the Texas Floodplain Management Association, recognized and accredited through the Association of State Floodplain Managers, signifies that he possesses the theoretical knowledge and practical experience in floodplain management necessary to pass a comprehensive examination.

Since January 2001, Tom Dahl has served as the TxDOT area engineer for San Saba, Mills and Lampasas Counties. His duties have included responsibility for transportation infrastructure projects crossing through floodplains, and coordinating them with local National Flood Insurance Program County and City Floodplain Administrators and FEMA.
