Elm Grove Echoes

The big news for all of us is the wonderful rains that fell in the last few days. We received 3.8 here in Richland Springs and heard reports of around 4.5 inches out at Elm Grove. One of the weatherman said it has been several years since we have had rains this general all over the state. Hopefully a lot of folks will benefit from it.

The 42 tournament will be October 13th at Elm Grove. Then on the 20th, instead of a community meeting, we will have a gospel singing at the Elm Grove community Center at 7:00 pm. We urge everyone who likes to sing, play an instrument or just listen to good old-time gospel singing, to come and join us. As always, we are sending out a plea for any piano players who can come and help us out. It gets pretty tiring when there is only one to play all night.

The Richland Springs Coyotes won their Homecoming game last Friday night with a score of 54-0. We want to congratulate Lola Faye Mask on being crowned Coming Home Queen.

We are happy to report that Michael’s dad, G.H. Suber, is responding to his chemo treatments and doing better. I am now under the care of Lighthouse Hospice out of Brownwood. They are all very nice. I have a critical heart problem along with cancer so I could use your thoughts and prayers.
