Thursday, August 7, 2008 • Posted August 7, 2008

Ann Marie Adams and Vincent Edward Gould were united in marriage on July 12, 2008, barefooted on the beach at Sandal's Whitehouse in Jamaica. Surrounded by friends and family and a beautiful view of the Caribbean, Ann was escorted by her father to a bamboo arch decorated with white and sunset lilies, where Vince awaited.

The bride's strapless wedding dress was flowing white organza, scooped in the back and laced with satin ribbon, accented by a cascading bouquet including lilies and dendrobium orchids. Ann wore a blue topaz ring ("something new, something blue"), a gift from the groom, and a Gould family heirloom wedding ring as "something old." Pearls were a gift from her father. The groom wore all white linen.

Bridesmaids included: Ashton Adams, Maid of Honor and cousin of the bride; and Kami Mahan Pipes, Hilary Leshin, and Holly Faulkner, all friends of the bride. They wore short coral dresses with bouquets of white lilies and orchids. Groomsmen, all dressed in white linen shirts and natural linen pants, were Kane Kleinschmidt, Best Man; and John Jarrett, Josh Bidwell, and Matt Thomas, all friends of the groom.

Following the beach wedding, a champagne reception was held in the French Village Garden with hors d'oeuvres and a traditional Jamaican Rum Cake. Guests were entertained throughout the wedding and reception with music from a steel drum band, The Caribbean Regals. Forty-two friends and family attended the wedding. Ann and Vince spent their honeymoon at the Resort at Sandals Whitehouse.

Prior to the wedding, guests were welcomed by the bride's parents at a dinner in the ballroom of the Sandals Resort. Beautifully appointed tables were the setting for a menu of coconut shrimp, smoked salmon, lobster bisque, New York strip steak, tilapia, Cordon Bleu, vegetables, chocolate cake and cheesecake.

On July 19th, a celebration was held in honor of the couple in San Saba at the San Saba Pecan Complex. Guests were served fajitas with all the trimmings, a white and chocolate bride's cake prepared by Tracey Thomas, and a graham cracker cake, prepared by the groom's mother and decorated with a red and black Texas Tech motif.

Ann is the daughter of Connie and Buddy Adams, and the granddaughter of Mrs. Dean Bagley and Mrs. R.J. Adams, all of San Saba. Vince is the son of James and Tina Gould, and the grandson of Mrs. Clara Vincent of Lexington, Texas. The couple will make their home in Lubbock where Ann is employed by CEV Multimedia, and Vince will be finishing his undergraduate degree before applying for Physician's Assistant school.
