GED testing at Gatesville High School

The GED test will be given at Gatesville High School - October 9th and 10th - in Room 22. GED candidates must register to take the test Wednesday, October 3rd, in Room 22 at Gatesville High from 5:00 - 7:00p.m. The candidate will need to bring a Texas Drivers License, State, or Federal Photo ID, Social Security Card, and $80 to registration. The candidate will also need to bring the ID on testing days. Registration will take 30 minutes to an hour. If the candidate is 17, a guardian is required for registration, as well as withdrawal papers from the last school attended. If the candidate failed the test between 2002 and 2012, and needs to retake one or more parts; each part costs $15 to retest. A copy of previous test scores is required. There are other qualifications for candidates under 18.The test will be given at 5:15p.m. on both October 9th and 10th. The candidate must attend both nights to complete the test. Testing usually takes 4 hours each night. ID is required.New testers must also register online at www.utk16.org/scoring (phone help-line 512-475-9400, if needed). This is the first step toward testing. On the home page, the candidate will find a large link entitled "GED TESTERS: click here for the GED Demographic Form" in bold red text. Once the candidate clicks this link, they will find clear, step-by-step instructions. If testing in Gatesville, the Center Number is 0750. The remainder of the registration and payment must be completed at Gatesville High School.Please share this information with anyone who might be interest in taking the test.
