A child has only one shot at an education. Parent support and involvement is crucial at both school and at home. Three-week notices were sent home last week. If your child receives a notice of concern, please contact your child’s teacher as necessary to ensure your child is successful. Kids need structure and guidance to be successful. Today’s students are our hope for the future. Let’s work together to make their future bright! The junior high football team looked good in their second game at Gustine last week. The junior high team should have a successful year if the first two games are any indicator of success. The junior high football team trounced Gustine by a score of 48-0. The junior high is now 2-0 on the year. The junior high game scheduled for September 27th has been moved to October 4th. There is no junior high game scheduled this week.The varsity players are now 4-0 on the season after enjoying a 54-0 victory over Gustine. The stingy Coyote defense proved too much for the Gustine offensive plan. The cheerleaders did a great job! The varsity Coyotes will play San Antonio Feast at Coyote Stadium on Friday at 7:30 p.m. It is also Homecoming week! Miss Ashlyn Grady is the senior class nominee, Miss Melanie Hedley is the junior class nominee, and Miss Antonia Valdez is the freshman class nominee. The 2012 Homecoming Court will be introduced at 7:00 p.m. prior to Friday’s game, and Homecoming Queen will be announced during halftime ceremonies. Homecoming pep rally will be downtown at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.On Tuesday, October 2nd, everyone is invited to Richland Springs’s Open House from 6:00 -7:30. The annual Book Fair will run from October 1 - October 5.The Richland Springs Coyote Booster Club now has a website. Every Tuesday night at 6:30 p.m. the Coyote Booster Club meets at the old band hall for FILM, FOOD & FELLOWSHIP. We eat a potluck meal, watch the past week’s film, hear Coach Burkhart’s comments and enjoy the fellowship. Please remember that EVERYONE is ALWAYS welcome to attend! If you would like, please bring your favorite dish. The Booster Club will provide drinks. Please come and we will see you there each week! It’s great to see our community supporting students in their efforts to achieve. We have a great community, students, teachers and staff. It takes everyone working together to achieve success.
