Residents at Pecan Valley Nursing & Rehabilitation have been treated to new and exciting activities lately. They have played a variation of Bingo called “Brown Bag Bingo”. In “Brown Bag Bingo” bags are stuffed with prizes and marked “girl” or “guy”. It was so exciting when someone won because they didn’t know just what they were going to get until the bag was opened. In their regular Bingo games, prizes are “treats” off the treat cart but in “Brown Bag” prizes ranged from lotions and perfumes to combs, mirrors and toothbrushes. With cooler weather, more time has been spent on the patio for a Peanut Butter Cookie and milk party or just to enjoy the beautiful weather.Pam has also implemented crafts once a week and everyone turns out and enjoys it very much. The picture is a fish made by Mr. Riddle this past week. It hangs on his wall. Some put them on their doors as a welcome to visitors.Other new activities residents are looking forward to are, “Ring Toss and Bowling.”We continue to try to increase the pleasure of our activities program each month with new and different things to do and so far, everything has been greeted by the residents with great spirit!
