Fellowship of Christian Women to hold luncheon September 27th
Thursday, September 20, 2012 • Posted September 20, 2012

Fellowship of Christian Women will be gathering in Richland Springs next Thursday, September 27th, at the First Baptist Church downstairs fellowship hall. Beginning at 11:30 a.m. the luncheon features Fall Treats, so look for some recipes you might want to enjoy at this time of year. Richland ladies give us a special invitation and will help us during the luncheon. Ladies in their 60’s will be treated and do not have to bring food this month. A nursery will be available for preschoolers if you phone Sharon Hayes in advance to make arrangements. Please bring food for your children if you want them to eat during the luncheon time. Rikki Tai Ferrell, daughter of Rick and Sheila Ferrell, has agreed to come and share her testimony of the past 12 months serving as a missionary to Maui Mahi Kenya, Africa at a children’s home called Naomi’s Village. What a beautiful privilege and ministry to love and care for 33 precious little children and working together with 35 Kenyan staff. Kenya has the third highest number of HIV/AIDS orphans in the world. It is also a war-torn country with many displaced persons. Rikki Tai plans to share stories of these children and her work at the IDP camps (internally displaced persons). She also served at the Sinead slums sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ. Yes, this young lady grew up in San Saba, so many of you will remember her as a child. You may have even taught her in Sunday School or Children’s Choir. She is preparing now for her next assignment with World Race, a missionary organization targeting unreached countries, and will probably go to Guatamala in 2013. Hope you will mark your calendar for September 27th and bring several ladies with you to enjoy the fellowshipping and then to share with our San Saba Missionary!
