Thursday, September 20, 2012 • Posted September 20, 2012

The Mason County Friends of the Library is now accepting applications for the 2012 Old Yeller Days. Visitors from all over will enjoy contests, shows, interactive demonstrations, arts & crafts, a Dog Show, an Apple Baking Contest, live entertainment, good stuff to eat and so much more!!!! Set on the beautiful grounds of the Mason County historical courthouse, the Old Yeller Days celebration is intended to bring the history of the 1870s to life through demonstrations and performances of re-enactors, storytellers and musicians. Old Yeller Days honors frontier life of Mason County and its literary heritage. Non-profit organizations are especially encouraged to have a booth. There is no fee for the booths and this event is held in conjunction with the annual On The Square Starving Artists Show, so there should be a big crowd. Please send request for an application to Trudy Irwin, PO Box 1280, Mason, Texas 76856 or e-mail her at:trudyirwin@ctesc.net or Rosemary Davis at:rlgdavis@verizon.net. For more information, contact Trudy at 512-431-3046 or Rosemary at 325-347-6050.
