Lester Delworth “Del” Broyles, 90, passed away in Houston on Tuesday, September 11, 2012. Del was born in Cherokee on October 17,1921 to Ben and Esther Broyles. Del is survived his wife, Virginia, of 61 years, his twin daughters, Deborah Kay Scopa and husband, Frank; Cynthia Ann McCoy and husband, James. He is also survived by his brothers, Billie Ray and Ben L. and his wife, Sue and sister Ida Jo Holly. Del was preceded in death by brother, Alton and sister, Wandah Mae Houston. He has two grandchildren and three great grandchildren. His interment is in Brookside Memorial Park, Houston.
