On Monday, September 10th, Bobby Joe Verette, 52, of San Saba County, died of a gunshot wound.According to San Saba County Sheriff, Allen Brown, the Sheriff's Office received a 911 call at approximately 2:30 - 3:00 p.m. from a female stating a man had been shot. San Saba EMS and Sheriff's deputies responded to the scene at FM 2032 and C.R. 306 where attempts to revive Verette were unsuccessful. Verette was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Les Dawson.Brown said Verette's death is under investigation by The Texas Rangers and San Saba County Sheriff's Office.
