San Saba's 1st Annual Fiesta Patrias Celebration this Sunday

The City of San Saba and State Farm Insurance proudly presents San Saba’s 1st Annual Fiesta Patrias Celebration this Sunday from 1:30pm – 8:30pm in Risien Park on Highway 190 East. Admission is FREE. The festival is celebrating our Hispanic community and EVERYONE is invited to attend. The festivities kick off at 1:30 p.m. with a whole host of activities including four bands: Grupo Destello, Los Reos Del Norte, Mariachi El Romance, and Monarca Cumbiambero, and a special performance by University Of Texas dance troop “Ballet Folklorico. There are piñatas every hour for the kids and a vast array of authentic Mexican cuisine: fajitas, roasted corn, gorditas, chicharrones, red & green enchiladas, barbacoa, brisket wraps & sausage wraps and drinks: Agua Frescas: watermelon (sandia), tamarindo, pineapple (pina y horchata), orchatas, Mrs. Mindy’s Snow Cones (raspados senora mindy), soft drinks (refrescos) & beer (cerveza). There is also a Jalapeno Eating Contest and an El Grito Yelling Contest for trophies. Plus there is a ton of giveaways: one set of tires from Hamrick’s Automotive Center, an Ashley Recliner from Everett’s Furniture and Emporium, a pair of Boots from Harry’s, a Yeti Cooler from Hoffpauir Outdoor Superstore, a 150 Quart Cooler from Commercial National Bank, A $50 Gift Card from Sonic, a three Month Membership from Body By Design, and four Texas Rangers Baseball Tickets for September 29th..
