On Thursday we traveled to Hood County and played the Tolar JV Rattlers. We were very proud of the effort of our young men. The kids played very hard the entire game. As a result, we came home with a 40 to 26 victory.We did something that I have never seen in all of my years in football. We returned three fumbles for touchdowns. Daniel Calderon had a 70yd. return and Ismael Ramirez and Emiliano Zapata had 30yd. returns. Also scoring touchdowns for the young Dillos were Emiliano Rocha with one and Dallas Caldwell with two. Jon Welch caught a two point conversion pass from his brother Garrett. Dallas Caldwell had a two point conversion run.Playing well for the Dillos were Quarterback Garrett Welch who also had an interception from his safety position. John Faught had an interception from his Cornerback position. Joel Franco had a good night at Linebacker making many key tackles. Also playing well were Holt Oliver at Quarterback and Safety, Kritian McCoury and Caleob Hardman at Defensive Tackle Daniel Calderon and John Welch at Outside Linebacker.This Thursday we will be playing the Early Longhorns at Rogan at 6:00 P.M.. We would appreciate it if everyone could come out and support these young men. You will enjoy watching them play.
