Thanks to everyone who came out Friday night to watch the Armadillo home opener. The Armadillos beat Tolar 24-6 to start the season in front of a great crowd. (see Tim Gates article). Kolton Ellis has been named this week’s “Frank’s Trophy Shop Player of the Week.” Kolton rushed for 1 TD and 49yds.On defense Kolton had 11 tackles, 2 deflected passes, 6 QB pressures and 1 pass break-up, in San Saba’s 24-6 win last week against Tolar. Congratulations to Kolton Ellis. The coaching staff and players were pleased with the win, and understand we have a lot of work to do. We were really pleased with our defensive effort, our special teams execution, our conditioning, how physical we were, and the way we represented San Saba. We will work on getting better at all of these things as well as several things that we felt like we did not do real well. We would like to congratulate our JV Dillos for an impressive 40-14 win over Tolar on Thursday.( See Article). I would like to encourage everyone to attend our football and athletic events this week.Monday Sept.3rd: Armadillo all Sports Booster Club meeting at 6:00 at Pepperbelly’s.
