Little Dillos run away with season opener against the Yellowjackets

The 3rd and 4th grade Little Dillos used runs of 90 yards by Ryan Mathis and 45 yards by Logan Glover, in addition to a 60 yard touchdown strike from Risien Shahan to Logan Glover to win 18 – 0 versus the Llano Yellowjackets this past Saturday at Mustang Stadium in Marble Falls in the Hill Country Youth Football League! A slow start for the Dillos quickly turned into an exciting offensive performance, while a stingy defense held the Yellowjackets scoreless throughout the entire day led by Landin Short, Bladen Riggs, James Carllisle, and Brighton Adams up front. Linebackers Risien Shahan, Ryan Mathis, and Christian Van Bibber played great defense as well, alongside Ross McCoury, Wesley Lackey, Logan Glover and Timothy Krueger in the defensive secondary. Polo Davila, Austin Smith, and Ty Robertson also played important defensive roles up front for the Dillos in keeping the Yellowjackets out of the endzone for the day. Very good blocking by the Dillos line led by Johnny Meador, Center, in addition to Kylar Menchaca, Bladen Riggs, Landin Short, James Carlisle, Brighton Adams and Christian Van Bibber, as well as Fullback Ross McCoury, led to both rushing touchdowns. Leading cheers for the Little Dillos as cheerleaders on Saturday were Madison Shahan, Jaycie Everett, Olivia Lebow, Landri Glover, Jasmine Davila, Jaela Nelson and Kailey Brooks.The Little Dillos will be playing in San Saba on September 8th starting at 8 a.m. in the morning at Rogan Field. Be sure to come out and support the Little Dillos on their quest for a second straight Hill Country Youth Football League championship!
