Armadillo Football Report
Thursday, August 30, 2012 • Posted August 30, 2012

Thanks to everyone who went to Comanche this past Thursday to support the Armadillo football teams. It was our last scrimmage and we witnessed tremendous improvement. We were real proud of all the players. We were able to get 88 plays with our JV and 108 plays plus a live quarter with our Varsity. I am not into the score of a scrimmage, but we felt like we improved from last week. I am sorry that the All Sports Booster Club’s annual “Meet The Dillo’s” was moved to this Tuesday, but we will always take a good rain. Thanks for the soap and towels, this will help the Armadillo athletes all year long. If you were unable to give your towel or soap donation last week and would still like to you can bring those by the field house at anytime. This week we look forward to starting a great school year and a great football season. Tuesday as I mentioned we will have “Meet The Dillos”. Thursday will be our first JV football game at Tolar at 6:00 p.m. Tolar is between Stephenville and Grandbury on highway 377. It is 111 miles and takes appox. 1hr. 50 min. by car. Friday will be our first Varsity game day, we will host the Tolar Rattlers from district 6-2A. We look forward to getting off to a great start and having a good crowd. I would like to encourage everyone to join me at “Coffee With The Coach” every Friday morning at 7:00 a.m. CWC is held at the Texican Pecan Trading office on the corner of 190 and Clear St. across from Arrow Head Bank. If you have any questions or comments please call me at 3222, or 1712 or just come by the field house at Rogan. We are San Saba.
