Thursday, August 30, 2012 • Posted August 30, 2012

School has started. The departing smiles of students have been followed by the welcomed exuberance of parents. This symbolizes yet another beginning school year. There are a number of different things happening in the month of September at the San Saba ISD. Athletic events, literacy events, and preparations for the October Parent Academy will be taking place. Parents, please take some time to look at the information your child is bringing home from his/her teachers. Look for the best way to communicate with a teacher or principal if you have a question. There are a number of ways to help your child be successful in school, but the best way is to have a plan before one is needed. If you could ask your child one question, ask them what they are reading. Today, reading time has been filled with other means of electronic media and television; however, reading is essential. San Saba ISD is committed to finding opportunities to promote the reading initiative. We are looking forward to a great year.
