On Saturday, September 1st, the Freemasons of San Saba Lodge No. 612 will hold their monthly stated meeting. Supper will be served at 6:30p.m. and all Masons are asked to provide a complimentary covered side dish, bread, salad or dessert. The main course will be a pot roast supper provided by Senior Warden John D. Rhoades. The Lodge will open around 7:00p.m.The Lodge Charter will be draped in the memory of two Master Masons who have recently passed away: John Earl McPherson, Jr. and John W. Robertson, Jr. Brother McPherson was born on April 20, 1951 and was made an EA 29 July 1995, FC 8 June 1996 and MM 21 September 1996 in the former Richland Springs Lodge No. 882. He served in the offices of that Lodge as Tiler, Junior Deacon, Senior Deacon, Junior Warden, Senior Warden and Worshipful Master. McPherson became an affiliated plural member of San Saba Lodge on June 6, 1998. He passed from this world on Saturday, August 25th.Brother John W. Robertson, Jr. was born on March 16, 1941 and was made an EA 24 November 1965, FC 11 January 1966 and MM 22 March 1966. All three of his degrees were taken in Patterson Lodge No. 1177. Robertson transferred his membership to San Saba Lodge on September 6, 2008. He passed from this world on Friday, August 24th.The Worshipful Master reminds all members to bring their community service information for August and provide it to the secretary.
