TPWD & Texas Tech Launch Hill Country Angler Survey
Thursday, August 23, 2012 • Posted August 23, 2012

Texas Parks and Wildlife and Texas Tech University are teaming up to conduct a four-month on-line survey among anglers who fish in Texas Hill Country rivers and streams. Researches will attempt to evaluate the economic impact of angling in rivers and streams in the region. The survey findings will help guide future habitat restoration efforts, and opportunities to enhance and expand fishing access in the Texas Hill Country. Anglers participating in the survey will be eligible to win a $200 spinning rod and reel combo or a $300 fly rod and reel combo. The drawing for both prizes will be held in January 2013. The angler must have fished in this region in the past 12 months, and must complete the 15 minute survey at http://www.tpwd.state.tx.us/fishboat/fish or directly at https://www.research.net/s/HillCountryFishingSurvey. A map depicting the areas being surveyed is included at the beginning of each survey.
