Dear Parents:You have a child that will one day attend San Saba Elementary! The days before they enroll in school are important to their success as readers. Research has shown that parents reading to their children before they are even born has a significant impact on their success in school! San Saba ISD has been awarded a Literacy Grant and one of the goals is to help start promoting young readers before they enter school. We know that you are busy with many things and having a young child is a big job. Teaching them the importance of reading at an early age is invaluable. It will cause fewer setbacks in school and life. These are the things we want to provide your family this school year: 1. Reading materials (English and Spanish available)2. Reading nights (Lead by a bilingual facilitator)3. Reading tips and help4. Online access to stimulating reading programWe want to help provide you the resources you need to grow your children into wonderful readers! Queridos Padres:Ustedes tienen niños(as) que algun dia atenderan la Escuela Primaria de San Saba! Los dias antes de que entren ala escuela son elemental para su aprendizaje en la lectura. Las investigaciones lo demuestran que leerle a sus niños desde pequeños aun antes de nacer tiene un gran impacto en sus vidas. Ala Escuela de San Saba se le a otorgado un una beca para el Programa de Alfabetiz-acion y una de sus metas es de ayudar alos pequeños a leer antes de que entren ala escuela primaria. Nosotros entendemos que usted esta ocupado con muchas otras cosas en su vida y tener un hijo(a) puequeño(a) es un gran trabajo. Enseñarles la importancia de leer a una temprana edad tiene un precioso invaluable. Le ayudara a sus hijos a tener menos obstaculos en la vida y principalmente en la escuela. Estas son las cosas con las que queremos ayudar a su familia este año escolar:1. Materiales para leer (En Ingles y Español)2. Noches de lectura (Dirigidas por ayudante bilingue)3. Literacy Backpacks will be available on September 4th in the elementary cafeteria at 6:00 p.m. for children not yet in school.
