Richard Lee (Rick) McCutchan, 47, passed away Tuesday, July 17th in Temple, Texas. Born August 14, 1964 in Tokyo, Japan, he graduated from Del Norte High School in Albuquerque, NM in 1982, Texas State Technical College in Abilene in 2006, and from Texas State University in San Marcus in May 2012. He lived in Dallas and was a professional waiter there 1991-2005. He helped organize Operation Luminaria in Abilene to honor veterans and active duty military personnel. Preceded in death by his father, Jimmie Lee McCutchan, two brothers, John and Jimmie; he is survived by his mother, Joyce Carrigan Ragland and husband Bob of San Saba; a sister Debbie Rigsby and husband Dale of Aurora, Colorado; special stepbrother, Donavan Jones; stepsisters, Debra Hart and husband Kelly, Traci French and husband Frank, and Kerry Snider; step-brother, Robert Ragland and wife Kelly; neices, Darci Jordan and husband Darren of Columbus, Ohio and Dana Hamilton and husband James of Centennial, Colorado; great-nephew, Charlie Jordan; step-niece, Melissa Shaw; step-great-niece, Kenlie Shaw; an aunt, Gay Hightower of Phoenix, Arizona; and numerous cousins. A memorial service and burial will be at Potosi Cemetery at a a later date.
