Marissa Coffman-Spence and Melanie Hedley of San Saba County recently participated in the State 4-H Record Book competition. Coffman-Spence, a sophomore at San Saba High School, placed 11th in the Senior Clothing category while Hedley, a junior at Richland Springs, placed 2nd in the Family & Consumer Science Open category. Both girls placed 1st in their particular category at the District 7 4-H Record Book competition held in July and then advanced to the State competition. Coffman-Spence is the daughter of Charlotte Spence while Hedley is the daughter of Mark & Michelle Hedley of Richland Springs.
