This first day of school for Cherokee ISD is August 27, 2012. Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. and dismiss at 3:30 p.m. Registration for kindergarten students will be on Thursday, Aug. 16th from 9 to 10 a.m. New student registration is on the same day from 10 to 11 a.m. Students will need to bring their birth certificate, social security card, shot record and their last report card and withdraw form from their previous school.Class schedules will be done on Thursday, Aug 16th as follows:Seniors 8:30 - 9:30 a.m.Juniors 9:30 - 10:30 a.m.Sophomores 10:30 – 11:30 a.m.Freshmen 11:30 – 12:30 p.m. Students in grades 6th – 8th will not need to sign up for classes as their schedules are set. Just a reminder that school/sport pictures will be taken on Tuesday, Aug.28, 2012.
