The Presbyterian ladies are our hostesses this month for the Fellowship of Christian Women’s Luncheon. We meet next Thursday, August 23rd, at 11:30 a.m. in the downstairs fellowship hall. The church has a new chair lift that moves down the stairs by remote control. So if you have trouble climbing the stairs, we encourage you to come and try their new equipment. It has been so hot lately, we chose “Cool Recipes” for this luncheon. Look thru your recipes and prepare something cold to share around the serving tables. Our ladies in their 50’s will be treated this month. A nursery for preschool-ers will be located at the same church. Call Sharon Hayes in advance for arrangements, and do remember to bring food for your children. Shannon Hampu has agreed to come and share a ministry talk she has titled, “ Communication, Using God’s Gifts thru Music and Sign Language.” Shannon has enjoyed a signing ministry for over 20 years, serving the Lord in many different churches. Shannon has lived in San Saba about 15 years. She plans to discuss communicating thru music and sign several Christian songs for us to visualize how beautiful this interpretive method of communication can be. Shannon loves her work at the San Saba Senior Center helping everyone and being assistant to the Director.
