Thursday, August 16, 2012 • Posted August 16, 2012

The San Saba County Livestock and Wildlife Association will hold its annual meeting at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, August 21 at the District Courtroom, third floor of the County Courthouse. The agenda for this meeting will include; report of activities for the current year, discussion of the Association’s changing financial situation, election of officers and a question and answer session. The SSCLWA was formed to provide the necessary matching funds to insure the continued presence of the State sponsored trappers in San Saba County. Due to State and Federal budget cuts, the Association’s required contribution is set to increase in the coming year. This requires an additional $7,200 to be raised by the Association, for a total contribution of $21,600, to maintain the current level of predator control activity. These funds are raised only through donations from landowners, hunters, and business owners. The SSCWLA encourages everyone who has an interest in wildlife and livestock and who is concerned about the damage caused by predators, to attend this very important meeting. Those who can’t attend are encouraged to support the Association through a donation. Donations can be sent to the SSCWLA at: PO Box 681, San Saba, TX 76877.
