Charlotte Spence receives 2012 Lumen Gentium Award

On June 26, 2012, the Diocese of Austin presented the 2012 Lumen Gentium awards (“The Light of the World”) to individuals in recognition of their service and faithfulness to their local parishes. This event was held at the Frank Mayborn Convention Center in Temple. Fr. Ramiro Tarazona, priest at St. Mary’s in San Saba, Texas, nominated Charlotte Spence for this award. Charlotte has worked in the office of St. Mary’s for the past 13 years. She is very dedicated to the parish and her faith. There were 94 recipients of this award. Milly and Gary Summy of St. Peter’s Church, Goldthwaite, were also recipients, however, they were unable to attend the event.
