San Saba Pecan Bottom Concert Series
Howard Payne University’s “Winds of Triumph"

Get ready for the "San Saba Pecan Bottom Concert Series." The final concert in this series is this Saturday August 18, 2012 at Risien Park and admission is free. Gates open at 7:00 p.m. and then at 8:00 p.m. on the city stage, it's Howard Payne University's "Winds of Triumph" concert ensemble.The "Winds of Triumph" are under the direction of Master Woodwinds Artist & HPU professor Steve Goacher. "Winds of Triumph" had an exciting '09 and '10 year performing at the Faith & Family events for the NBA Dallas Mavericks, Houston Rockets, and San Antonio Spurs. An invitation was issued by the greater London authority and the London organizing committee to "Winds of Triumph" to present four concerts during the 2012 London Olympic Games. To this date, HPU's "Winds of Triumph" is one of only five university ensemble from the United States invited to present concerts at the 2012 Olympics. "Winds of Triumph" will be performing the same show here, this Saturday night. Come hungry, for Coyote Trail BBQ and soft drinks. No alcoholic beverages please.This concert series is intended to get you ready for the "San Saba River Pecan Jam" festival on October 29, 2012. There's a party in the pecan bottom...for the whole family.
