The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met July 26, 2012 for play day with only four ladies present. But it’s play day and they did play and had fun in the sun! The Chair for July, Janet Hoyt, called for a game she dubbed “Janet’s Brew” where it was low ball team play. Janet and Dorothy Sterner defeated Hattie Rogers and Jo Ann Snow by four strokes, so it was a close match. Dorothy scored the Low Gross for the day, made a birdie, and won the Low Putt Pot. Janet scored the Low Net for the day. Perhaps, next week all the regulars will be back. With vacations and Texas heat, golf has been on the ‘back burner’. The Club Championship is August 25, 2012 so we had better start getting ready - by “swinging”!
