If you feel you just have to burn please be very careful and have water near by to control your fire. Things are very dry and there is an abundance of dry thistle weeds which burns like gasoline. Check to see if the burn ban is back on before burning.All this dry hot weather must have an effect on the news, because this week it is next to none. Trying to figure out if it is because of the hot weather which may be keeping everyone indoors and trying to stay cool, or if they just don’t want to tell what they have been up to. Who knows? . We can always hope for rain, which may in turn have people stirring around, going places and having fun and of course reporting their news.Members of the Henniger family are busy getting everything ready for their reunion which is this month. They are expecting a large turn out this year.Jackie & Charlene went to Palacios to help Gene & Lauren Brister celebrate their birthdays which were July 19, we had a big party Lauren turned 21 and a good time was had by everyone who attended. Charlene also reported that they have a two bedroom-rent house in Brownwood which is up for sale and would be good for someone who is attending Howard Payne.Lesa Preece reported on her actives this past weekend. Her son Eric and is wife Ashley of Lampasas spent the day Saturday visiting with Lesa and brother Clay. They spent most of their time swimming and the rest of the time grilling and eating. Sunday friend Malissa Mims and son Harbor of San Saba came out for a visit and went swimming.Pat and Bonnie Millican was in San Antonio Friday. Pat saw his doctor and according to Bonnie everything was okay. They spent some time shopping and of course visiting with their one and only grandson Henry.Happy birthday goes out to Dixie Hewitt, Malissa Lemons who will celebrate a birthday August 2, to Dillon Brister who will celebrate his birthday August 5.Congratulation goes out to Carl Adams and Dr. Marilyn Brister who will celebrate an anniversary August 2, to Pat and Bonnie Millican who will celebrate their anniversary August 6.
