It not this way all the time and yes it is still spotty but there are places that have had good rains. I visited with a rancher recently that lives about twenty miles north of me and he said he has already had seventeen inches of rain this year. We have not had that much rain but it is green and in the last two month we have had more rain than we had the last two years. I guess the question is how do we respond to the rain or to the one who makes it rain? Many look to the government to supply and fix everything. We are warned in the Bible not to trust man but to put our trust in God, (Psalm 118:8 & 9). I found myself looking intently at the weather forecasts earlier this year and I began to realize I was focusing on the wrong thing. The forecasters can not do anything about the rain neither can the government but there is one who can. The God who made everything and has control of it all, (Psalm 104:1-15, 147:8). Do we put our trust in Him? Do we ask Him for rain? Or better yet do we thank Him when He sends rain, (Psalm 107:8) or go on with the attitude that we deserve or are entitled to it?
