W.T. Vogel, Jr. 94, of Lampasas, passed away on July 26, 2012. He was born to Ed T. Vogel and Sally (Swails) Vogel in San Saba County, Texas on September 19, 1917.Mr. Vogel was a farmer and rancher all of his life. In 1952, he moved to Northern Burnet County, near Naruna, where he made his final home on his beloved ranch. He married Thelma Binnion Smith on September 15, 1962 in Lake Victor. They were married 55 years until her death in 1998.W.T. is survived by granddaughter and caretaker, Susie Bays Miller, lifelong friend and caretaker, Lester D. Brown, whom he loved like a son; stepdaughters, Mrs. Faydell Vann and husband Lee, Mrs. Thelma Jo Bays and husband Gerald; eight grandkids, Virginia Mezger, David Bays, Leslie Vann, Chris Brock, Joseph Vann, Laura Skaggs, and Judy Vann Kennedy; fourteen great-grandkids and one great-great-granddaughter.
