The San Saba Ladies Golf Association met July 19, 2010 for play day with the chair for July, Sandee Hartley, calling for a game of ‘ones’ playing the holes that begin with the letters o n e s - less half your handicap. First Place went to Janet Hoyt, who also scored the Low Net for the day, Second to Dorothy Sterner, and a tie for third between Sandee Hartley and Jo Anne Hardy. Anita Miles scored the Low Gross for the day and won the Putt Pott, edging out Jo Anne Hardy and Hattie Rogers by one putt, and Jo Ann Snow chipped in to win the Chip In Pot and scored the only birdie of the day. The weather in Texas is scorching but it doesn’t deter golfers! We just keep on ‘swinging’!
